First Timeline  is in its second edition, with minor editorial revisions. A good primary resource for history, simple, useful for multiple levels.

A Doorway of Amethyst in full color, provides an introduction to geology -- to the basic types of stone, their origins and changes, and the basic types of erosion, as well as the history of earth in terms of its geologic eras, and a small portion of the history of the study of geology, especially by Catholics.

One unique feature is a discussion of the Williston Basin, an area where drilling has turned up representative sediments from each of the major geologic eras, in their standard order. It makes a nice review and explains why geologists find it difficult to imagine how Noah's Flood could have produced the sedimentary rock formations of the world.

Why we are here
Like the Irish under the Penal laws, who educated their children in caves and behind hedges to escape the imposition of either ignorance or Protestantism on their children, many families are feeling the need to take the responsibility of education into their own hands. A daunting task! Ye Hedge School hopes to help serve their needs.
